OUR MISSION
The Lucina Foundation is devoted to improving the health of women and babies through genetic research, and to finding the cause of serious diseases affecting women's health, pregnancy, and childbirth.

Since our founding in May of 2005, we have established laboratory collaborations, hired a scientific team, and developed networks with other research facilities. Our doctors and scientists will be performing complex investigations using our core strengths in genetics, clinical research, and placental biology.

Dr. Kenneth Ward, founder of the Lucina Foundation, is internationally known in the field of medical genetics and is a prominent high-risk pregnancy specialist. He has dedicated his career to bringing discoveries from the laboratory to direct patient care. Dr. Ward leads the Lucina Foundation's break-through research efforts.
