Polycystic kidney

Polycystic kidney disease is an inherited condition in which fluid-filled sacs, or cysts, grow within and take over the kidney. It causes the kidney to enlarge and can be painful and develop infections. Polycystic kidney disease can progress to the point of causing kidney failure, but in most cases the diease is mild and may cause only minor problems.
